The Limehouse Golem (2017, dir. Juan Carlos Medina)

A spree killer – The Limehouse Golem – terrorises London; four suspects must be eliminated. Theatrical and ambitious adaptation of the Peter Ackroyd novel with lots to recommend it. Not wholly successful, but interesting and entertaining throughout. Worth your time and thought.

I Am Not A Serial Killer (2016, dir. Billy O’Brien)

An isolated teen is caught in a series of murders in a small town. Initially slow-moving, this dark horror piece gathers momentum as it proceeds, ending in places quite distant from its beginning. Christopher Lloyd puts in a lovely supporting performance.
