A teenager battles an evil corporation in a quest to control a virtual reality game-world. Sporadically spectacular but narratively dull SF adventure which improves on the source novel but still lapses into pop-culture reference tickbox territory at its lamest.

A spree killer – The Limehouse Golem – terrorises London; four suspects must be eliminated. Theatrical and ambitious adaptation of the Peter Ackroyd novel with lots to recommend it. Not wholly successful, but interesting and entertaining throughout. Worth your time and thought.
