A young woman returns to her hometown: a zombie-like outbreak occurs. This 90s-set series reboot draws from the franchise’s early video games. And that’s about it. A murky and confused action/horror flick with little clear idea about what to do with the property, or why bother.

A crime syndicate-affiliated Boston hitwoman starts a gang war after protecting a child. A good central performance and some OK action anchor this very straightforward thriller in need of a stronger script less eager to make its protagonist sympathetic.
A farmer is driven mad by a selfish decision. Period horror-drama based on a Stephen King novella. Anchored by a great performance from Thomas Jane and a feeling of grim inevitability. No surprises, but a well-mounted production.
