Corporate Animals (2019, dir. Patrick Brice)

A team-building weekend goes awry when colleagues are trapped in a cave. Poor entry in the office politics horror-comedy sub-genre, with a decent cast struggling with under-powered scripting, direction, and lighting choices. There’s nice Gary Sinise and Britney Spears running gags, but that’s about it.

Here’s the trailer.

Office Uprising (2018, dir. Lin Oeding)

Nerdy colleagues band together after co-workers become murderous via a weaponised energy drink. Okay-while-its-on comedy-horror with a Larry Cohen-esque conceit and a whiff of The Belko Experiment. No real surprises or scares, but some nice lines and action details.

Safety Not Guaranteed (2012, dir. Colin Trevorrow)

A reporter and two interns investigate a classified advert promising time travel. Lo-fi comedy that doesn’t outstay its welcome. Charming enough, with just a hint of sci-fi, and with fine performances all round.
