A blowhard trucker finds himself in the middle of a magical conflict in San Francisco’s Chinatown. Still-fun mock-heroic action fantasy, with some respect for its influences and its tongue in its cheek throughout. If you go with it, this is still a great 100 minutes, though inevitably it’s not for all.

Inventive horror flick, taking the convoluted killing sequence trope from the Omen films and re-inventing it for the Scream generation. Tons of fun, a few neat in-jokes, and clever kills aplenty. The first of a series of five films.
A hunted ex-cop and a young girl with mob secrets go on the run together. Terrific New York chase thriller, balancing stunts, action and rock-solid fight choreography together to make a daft but supremely entertaining package. For genre fans, but highly recommended nevertheless.
