A houseful of actors face the Apocalypse. Dumb-but-fun gross-out comedy with a bunch of moderately-famous people playing versions of themselves. Self-indulgent, but everyone is in on the joke and no-one gets harmed. Fine while it’s on.

The Ballad of Buster Scruggs (2018, dir. Joel & Ethan Coen)
Six tales of the Old West, each taller than the last. Splendid Western anthology, packed full of quirky moments and character actors, with a few stars plainly having fun. Not exactly commercial, though; Netflix is a good home for this Coen brothers confection.
Your Highness (2011, dir. David Gordon Green)
The younger brother of a noble prince is a reluctant quest participant. Handsomely-mounted stoner fantasy romp, with a good cast struggling to make the most of a weak script. A handful of funny moments if you’re feeling indulgent, but that’s about it.
