Left-field ancestral monster horror, with some nice photography, good performances and icky moments. Let down by a poor script and a pace that doesn’t move quickly or scarily enough when it needs to. Worth watching for the weirdness of it all.
A mute cleaner falls in love with a humanoid aquatic creature being held in a government research laboratory. Dazzlingly confident romantic fantasy with SF/horror touches. Amelie meets The Creature From The Black Lagoon with a bit of Little Voice. Highly recommended.
A demonic superhero battles neo-Nazi occultists bent on unleashing interdimensional chaos. Gorgeously-designed though shallow action fantasy clearly in love with its world and protagonist.
