Project Power (2020, dir. Henry Joost & Ariel Schulman)

Multiple parties search for the source of a New Orleans street drug, which grants a superpower for five minutes. Flashy and confident if superficial mashup of Limitless and the 70s TV show Gemini Man. Plenty of incidental fun tho, especially in the first two acts.

D-Tox [AKA Eye See You] (2002, dir. Jim Gillespie)

A cop in an isolated rebab facility is stalked by the serial killer who murdered his fiancee. Daft but enjoyable minor genre fare, mashing up Agatha Christie and The Thing along with a hundred other influences. A solid cast of shifty character actors keeps matters rolling along until the inevitable fighty finale.

Final Destination 5 (2011, dir. Steven Quale)

A group of office workers are killed off one by one after surviving a freak accident. Superior fifth instalment of the stunt death franchise, with ingenious kill sequences and a sense of fun throughout, plus a very well-staged plot reversal.
