A dysfunctional mother tries to protect her unique child after a freak event which prevents people from sleeping. Patchy Bird Box/Children of Men variant that struggles to tell its miniseries story within a movie running time. A decent (if not always well-used) cast and a few nicely weird moments help, tho.

A father makes a deal with the DEA and works undercover to save his son. This attempt at gritty drama is hampered with a trite script and a lost cast including a strange choice of lead. The result is reasonably compelling though suffering with a weak final act.
A student and her estranged father are trapped in a house full of alligators during a hurricane. A tense and fun single-location horror thriller that makes the most of its excellent effects and actors, wringing every last sliver of tension from its gleefully B-movie premise. Recommended.
Thomas and friends mount a rescue mission. Third and last of the OK YA dystopian franchise. It doesn’t make much plot sense, but the action is capably handled, production design is good, and there’s a refreshing physicality to proceedings. For series fans only tho.
