An American tourist in Greece goes on the run after he becomes embroiled in a conspiracy. Somewhat baggy old-school (think Frantic) Euro-thriller mixing up kidnapping, corrupt cops, and political protests. The location work is great, but there’s a lack of urgency and – Boyd Holbrook aside – no sense that this is a genre movie.
A young convict gets in over his head with a charismatic bank robber. Generally effective crime drama with a few black comic and slightly pretentious touches. Solid performances and a matter-of-fact approach to the action help.
A bike courier/heiress follows clues left by her missing father to a forbidden tomb. OK series reboot with plenty of action, chases and the usual set-piece puzzle lair supernatural finale. Nothing new, but competently done, with a good central performance.
Jason Bourne resurfaces to deal with his past. Fifth in the franchise after the side-step of Legacy finds Bourne on top form; a story-light and linear but propulsive visually-driven action thriller, designed more as a sensory experience than narrative.
