Predators (2010, dir. Nimrod Antal)

A disparate collection of human killers find themselves prey in an alien game reserve. Efficient series reboot that rings enough engages initially to distinguish itself from the 1987 original, though by the end defaults to remake rather than continuation setting. The best of the sequels though.

Backtrack (2015, dir. Michael Petroni)

A psychiatrist’s visions of his dead daughter lead him to confront the secrets of his youth. Initially contrived but nevertheless effective supernatural thriller with plenty of jump scares and a couple of interesting ideas.

Bullet Head (2017, dir. Paul Solet)

Three criminals hide out after a bungled heist, but find they’re in the disused warehouse lair of a dog-fighting gang. Decent little thriller, with plenty for its decent cast to do; a competent job all around with some arty moments.
