Snowboarders fend off zombies in a ski-lodge. Terrible title, weak jokes, and duff acting aside, this is a tatty-but-endearing one-joke movie which foregrounds gory slapstick and the occasional genuinely inventive visual over logic or story. Passable.
Complete and utter garbage. I wanted to set my eyes and face on fire. Never watch this shit. Ever. 😡
A troubled young woman is possessed by the spirit of a car-crash victim. Autumnal ghost story which is both slight and slow-paced, but which is well-shot, well-acted, and low-key enough to make you focus on what’s going on.
The younger brother of a noble prince is a reluctant quest participant. Handsomely-mounted stoner fantasy romp, with a good cast struggling to make the most of a weak script. A handful of funny moments if you’re feeling indulgent, but that’s about it.
A young woman investigates her sister’s suicide. Cluttered Singapore-set horror pic, mashing up elements from Ring and The Exorcist. Plenty of jump-scares, too many ideas (albeit some of them interesting), but not much sense, and some weak-sauce acting.
An expensive cast struggle to find any laughs in this ‘save the business’ style comedy. More chuckles than belly laughs and not enough substance to be clever. The odd one liner does not a comedy make! 😒
A recently-widowed banker reassembles his life. Slight finding-yourself-again flick that does the usual things (wonky almost-romance, child mentor companion), except in a somewhat half-hearted way. A movie built around an idea for a single central scene.
