A frankfurter finds out that there is no hereafter. Relentlessly sweary food-based riff on the Buzz Lightyear and Pizza Planet alien characters’ delusions from Toy Story, which just about holds itself together.
Forgetful Dory goes on an epic journey when she remembers her parents. Gorgeous visuals and packed with gags, even if the short-term amnesia jokes are overloaded. A decent though unsurprising sequel with a scene-stealing octopus and Sigourney Weaver.
Some sharp moments, but on the whole a little flat. The story is more off key than the usual efforts, but it’s a melody you’ll be all too familiar with.
A boy genius – and his personal care robot – battle the supervillain who’s stolen his invention. Slick, straightforward, and gorgeous to look at, this manga-influenced Disney ‘toon is a linear but fun ride, with some effective emotional moments.
Misfit birds have to channel their anger to rescue the eggs stolen from their village by piratical pigs. Unexpectedly superior animated comedy packing in buckets of slapstick, porky puns, and a little pathos into an engaging 90 minutes of game-based fun.
Average to good animated fare that will entertain the kids on a dull Saturday afternoon. Some nice moments of humour but the story is too fragmented to be really enthralling. The wolves are funny, though. 😐
