Superior genre collision sees WW2 France become the setting for Nazi horror. This works mostly because it plays it straight throughout, lending a sense of weight to the schlocky second half. Great FX, excellent performances. One to watch, for sure.

Completely agree. A tad slow with the set up, but it’s certainly relentless once it goes for it!

I think it needs that set up as it makes the more typical horror elements seem almost normal in comparison to what had gone before.
