A Walk Amongst The Tombstones (2014, Dir. Scott Frank)

Bleak, noir toned thriller. Oddly stilted performance from Liam Neeson as he walks around New York looking for mafia wife killers. Nothing new here; over long with some tension but ultimately misses it’s own target. Somewhat dull and ends stupidly.

  1. I liked it a bit more than that, though I’ve read the novel it’s based on, and the movie does an OK job of replicating the tone as well as the storyline of that. It suffers a little by being lumped together with Neeson’s more straightforward actioners.
